Embroidered Type / 2019

CONCEPT

Observe, document, analyse, extract, and ultimately design and produce a specimen of a particular type.

Embroidered type is fashion-oriented typography which we encounter daily without necessarily observing or reading. I collected and photographed a woven sample of script, serif, and sans serif typefaces. I designed an A2 single colour print-out with unique foldings, to merge and slowly reveal the embroidered letters and created a digital sting to accompany my printed outcome.
